How the Right Insoles Can Improve Comfort on the Golf Course

We were delighted to be part of the recent charity golf day hosted by the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation at The Renaissance Club in Scotland, supporting the Foundation’s work funding research into Motor Neuron Disease (MND) and supporting people living with MND.

It was a fantastic day, bringing golfers together to support an incredible cause, and we were pleased to play a small part in helping players stay comfortable as they took on the course.

For us, the day was about much more than golf. It was an opportunity to meet players, talk about foot comfort and demonstrate how the right support can make a difference when you're spending several hours on your feet.

Why foot comfort matters in golf

A round of golf can involve several hours of walking, often across varied terrain, alongside plenty of time spent standing and swinging and transferring pressure through the foot.

As the round progresses, tired or uncomfortable feet can become an unwanted distraction. Having the right support under your feet can help improve overall comfort while providing stability throughout the round.
The Sidas 3Feet Comfort insoles are designed to provide targeted support based on your natural arch profile. Available in Low, Mid and High Arch versions, they are designed to work with the shape of your foot rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

Finding the right arch profile

One of the most important considerations when choosing an insole is finding the right level of arch support.
Everyone's feet are different, which is why the 3Feet Comfort Insole range is available in three profiles:

  • Low Arch – designed for feet with a lower arch
  • Mid Arch – designed for a medium or average arch
  • High Arch – designed for feet with a higher arch

Choosing the appropriate profile can help create a more comfortable and supportive fit inside your golf shoes.

Analysing feet with the Sidas Feetbox

During the event, we used the Sidas Feetbox to give players a quick insight into their feet and help identify their individual arch profile. It was great to see so many players getting involved, asking questions and learning more about their feet. The Feetbox provided a simple starting point for understanding their individual foot shape and the type of support that could be suitable for them.

From there, we could demonstrate how an appropriately matched 3Feet Comfort insole can provide comfort, stability and support while out on the course.

Helping reduce the feeling of foot fatigue

When you're walking 18 holes, small differences in comfort can become increasingly noticeable as the round goes on.

The 3Feet Comfort range is designed to provide cushioning and support where it's needed, helping to distribute pressure and increase contact between the foot and insole. This can help reduce the feeling of foot fatigue during prolonged activity.

Of course, an insole isn't a substitute for a well-fitting pair of golf shoes. However, combining appropriate footwear with the right level of foot support can help create a more comfortable setup for a long day on the course.

A great day for a great cause

Most importantly, the event was about supporting an incredible cause and bringing people together through golf.

We were grateful to be involved and enjoyed meeting the players, learning more about their experiences and helping them understand a little more about their feet.

A huge thank you to My Name5 Doddie and everyone involved for making us feel so welcome at The Renaissance Club. It was a fantastic day, supporting such an important cause!
